Medictyon PACS can also automatically obtain images from equipment which is not compatible with DICOM, as long as they use protocols and their specifications are publicly known, as is the case with some electrocardiograph manufacturers.

It also supports storing video and digital photographs, which are being used more and more in numerous areas of medicine (traumatology, plastic surgery, etc.).
