Clinical viewer
Medictyon PACS’s clinical viewer allows you to look at any type of image stored in its repository, whether it be from DICOM hardware or not.
The clinical viewer means doctors can use tools to process images which, up till now, were only available in radiology stations.
Thus the professional who requests an image test can analyse the result at his own workstation, in the context of the patient’s record, with the help of tools such as:
- Adjusting shine, contrast and window level
- Region of interest
- Rotating and moving image
- Inverse video
- Zoom
- Magnifying glass
- Measurements: distances and angles (only for DICOM images)
As well as analysing the image, the viewer enables you to export it to a local file at the work station. This makes scientific publications and presentations much easier.
Since the viewer is an integral part of Medictyon HPS, it can be used anywhere which has access to Medictyon HPS, that is to say, anywhere in the world where a standard computer has access to Internet.
From the point of view of corporate security policies, it is important to emphasize the advantages offered when the very same application (Medictyon HPS) can access images and also the whole patient medical record, whereas with a conventional PACS, access to images through Internet requires a security configuration, including users authentication, which is separate and different to the configuration for electronic medical record software.
